Good Afternoon to all our Ahh~Mazing music lovers out there in cyber land.

Today I have a review and giveaway that is so fun, I find it hard to begin.

Where should I start?

The beginning I guess…

What happens when you put together an award-winning singer/songwriter and a Broadway performer/songwriter?

You get the husband and wife duo of Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis, writing simply wonderful songs and making the funnest videos I have ever had the pleasure of hearing and seeing. It also seems that I am not the only one who thinks so because they just can’t stop winning awards, making CD’s and touring.

Lucky Diaz and The Family Jam Band are just awesome.

Their new CD “Lishy Lou and Lucky Too” is part vaudeville, part radio show, part Pee Wee’s playhouse and part The Lucy Show with just a splash of The Marx Brothers to give it just that little bit of extra something. In my opinion…you just can’t go wrong with that.

Doing things together today as a family can sometimes be hard to do. Sure we drag younger siblings to their older counterparts ball games but we aren’t really all together having fun…except maybe on the car ride over. That is the perfect time to pop this CD in and have a listen and a laugh. My kids are ages are almost 7 years apart and we all liked this CD.

Adam, my 17-year-old, really liked “Thingamajig“. He said it reminded him of me and how I am always using that word when I can’t remember the name of something. I’m not sure if I’m flattered or not considering how hard he was laughing. Abby, my 11-year-old,  really loved the last track, “When I grow up“, best and, she really liked their website which is very well designed. It has quite a few videos to watch and little bios of each band member and the character they play. I really enjoyed the whole aspect of it being a radio show (not that I’m old enough to have listened to radio shows) making the transition into moving pictures or the “talkies”. My favorite song is actually a remake of an old Beatles tune “Til There Was You“. Sometimes remakes just butcher a song but they did an excellent job taking this classic and making it their own.

All in all this is a great CD with snappy tunes and funny lyrics that your whole family will enjoy.
