Mikhala Armstrong

Mikhala Armstrong is an Edward R. Murrow Award Winning & Emmy-Nominated reporter that joined KPTV in December 2024. Before heading to Oregon, Mikhala reported and anchored at KGET-17 News in Bakersfield, CA for two years covering crime, housing issues, California's problem with poor water quality and investigating a County leading as the epicenter of the crisis. Mikhala is a graduate of San Diego State University and the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University, receiving a master's degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. Mikhala was born and raised in Oakland, California and has a maltipoo that is four years old named Saint. Both are looking forward to exploring Oregon and experiencing all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
