He’s previously won silver and bronze at the Rio games in the men’s 200m T44 and men’s 400 T44 and won silver in the men’s 400m T62 in the Tokyo games.

Woodhall’s win comes weeks after Davis-Woodhall won her own first Olympic gold medal in women’s long jump.

The couple has been dubbed Team USA’s “power couple” in track and field. Their joint Instagram account has more than 590,000 followers.

Woodhall went running to Davis-Woodhall immediately after winning, in a moment that mirrored her own celebration.

Woodhall has another chance at the gold as he competes in the 4x100m universal relay final later on Friday.
