HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Florida is filing new attempted murder charges against former President Donald Trump’s alleged would-be assassin Ryan Routh.
Ryan Routh is accused of trying to kill the president-elect at his Florida golf club in September.
Prosecutors said the large police hunt for Routh created a car crash that nearly killed a 6-year-old girl.
The new state charge is on top of the federal charges the former Hawaii resident already faces, which include the assassination attempt, gun charges and assaulting a police officer.
He pleaded not guilty to the federal charges.
