Mom charged after going viral for allegedly spitting, squirting dish soap into her baby’s mouth
LOVELAND, Ohio. (WXIX/Gray News) - A mom in Ohio was charged after a video of her allegedly abusing her baby went viral.
Authorities said 20-year-old Cloe Workman is accused of spitting onto her child’s face and squirting dish soap into the child’s mouth.
The alleged abuse was discovered from video footage taken, sparking an investigation with police and CPS.
Workman was also charged with domestic violence and child endangerment.
During the arraignment, a public defense attorney was assigned to Workman’s case and she was placed under a “criminal temporary protection order,” according to the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.
According to a GoFundMe page, the little girl is in the custody of Workman’s grandparents.
The father’s family started a fundraising page to help him hire an attorney and gain custody of his daughter.
Workman’s pre-trial hearing is set for Jan. 6, 2025, at 9 a.m.
