HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The HART board rescheduled a meeting Friday to discuss a contract extension for rail CEO Lori Kahikina, who is facing toxic work environment claims.

The meeting is now set for June 28 following “technical difficulties.”

A summary of complaints against Kahikina include that she created a toxic work environment, berating and harassing employees, playing favorites, and overseeing excessive layoffs.

Supporters of embattled rail CEO say her ongoing contract woes could cost taxpayers

Her supporters have come out in force, saying she has turned the agency around.

Kahikina says many of the complaints against her are vague, but she agrees she micromanages details and says the layoffs were necessary to streamline the agency.
