HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women in Hawaii, but early detection could save your life.
About one in eight women in their lifetime will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Karen Axten, a breast medical oncologist at Hawaii Pacific Health, shares some risk factors associated with the cancer.
Dr. Axten also shares some advice on screening early and outlines treatment options for breast cancer.
