Family-run Guieb Cafe serves up local brunch favorites
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - For four years, Guieb Cafe has been serving up local brunch favorites and Filipino comfort food in Kalihi and now has locations in Wahiawa and Aiea. It plans to open a location in Las Vegas soon.
Siblings Precious and Ean Guieb (pronounced “geb” like “web”) joined HNN’s Sunrise to talk about their family business, featuring recipes by their father, a long time veteran of the restaurant industry.
They showcased some of their popular dishes, including Ube Pancakes, Ribeye Plate with Fried Rice and Sunny Side Eggs, Country Fried Steak with Hash Browns and Scrambled Eggs, Furikake Ahi Salad, and Honey Acai French Toast. They also serve Prime Rib and daily specials.
Both Guiebs -- James Campbell High School alumni with culinary and hospitality training and experience -- said they enjoy coming up with creative dishes and serving the community.
All Guieb locations are open daily 7 a.m.-3 p.m. except for Christmas and New Year’s Day. They also do catering.
Senior and active military discounts are available for dine-in and take-out. There’s also a happy hour 15% off discount daily for dine-in only and early bird 10% off discount for dine-in on weekdays. Here are the locations:
- KALIHI: 1311 N. King St.
- WAHIAWA: 538 California Ave.
- AIEA: 98-025 Hekaha St.
