First Alert Traffic: Nuuanu Ave. mauka-bound lanes to close Monday for electrical work

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole and equipment along Nuuanu Avenue near Nuuanu Memorial Park on Monday, Nov. 4.

Crews will be replacing a pole damaged by a vehicle crash.

The work will close both mauka-bound lanes from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with traffic contraflowed between Robinson Lane and Kawananakoa Place.

Street parking will be restricted and the sidewalk and bike lane on both sides of Nuuanu Avenue will be closed in the work area during scheduled hours.

Bus routes will not be affected.

Special duty officers will provide onsite traffic control. Safety signs and traffic cones will mark the work zone and direct motorists to the open traveling lane.

Drive with caution and expect delays.
