Good Morning Ahh~Mazing Readers!!

Today I have a wonderful review for a product that will save your back and the environment.

I received my Garden Weasel from Wayfair and could not wait to get started. Unfortunately I had to though because the rain has just been none stop! Grr!

Garden-Weasel-Long-Handled-Tool-1

This is an up close picture of the Rotary Heads on a Garden Weasel. There are six spiked rolling heads, all made of steel. They are removable so you can get into tight spaces to aerate. You can take out the middle one to go down the row of your vegetable garden and weed and aerate around delicate sprouts. Or you can take off two heads to get close to edging and into tight corners. They remove and install back on very easily!

The Garden Weasel is all steel. This garden tool will last a lifetime. It has a long handle so you can put in half the effort and get done twice as quick.

This is the terrible weed infested space that I completely cleared of “real plants”. This space is really in a bad spot. It is right in between my house and the sidewalk to the car port. It had some shrubs in it that were here when I moved in 4 years ago. I personally prefer things that flower. I couldn’t get into the space with a push mower because of the shrubs. A weed eater makes a huge mess and the weeds are back in two days. Using a weed killer was really not an option because I don’t like the idea of spraying chemicals around the house. It’s bad for the ground water supply. Bad for my kids and bad for my pets. Not to mention the weeds are still there…they are just an ugly yellow color now. Finally, getting on my hands and knees to try to keep it looking good was killing my back.

When the rain finally let up I eagerly got my Garden Weasel out and I was ready to do something with this eyesore. When they say half the effort they mean it. This tool just ate up the weeds in this area. While I chomped them up my son got behind me and raked up. It was that simple. While it was tearing up the weeds it was also aerating the soil so that the Azaleas I planned to put there would get plenty of water and nutrients to their roots. It loosened the soil up so it was easier to dig the holes to plant my beautiful flowering shrubs.

Now I don’t know about your yard but I have some giant mutant weeds in mine. I’ve got one in particular that gives me a hassle. The roots of this monster must be trying to run to China they are so deep. Every time I’ve tried to pull one up by hand I get pricked (I’m bad not to wear gloves) and it usually breaks into five or six pieces, I’ll get frustrated and just leave it.

This is a picture of the mutant I’m talking about. Kind of looks like an alien life form doesn’t it?!

I ran over this thing a few times with the Garden Weasel and was then able to just pluck it right out of the ground. No fuss…No muss! I really love this tool. When I was done with my project I just sprayed it clean with the water hose and pulled off a few weeds that stuck in the rotating heads. It is easy to store too. It just stands right up with the shovels and rakes in the shed. I’m telling you that you really can’t go wrong adding this tool to your life.

This is a picture of my finished product. I laid down some fabric weed barrier. Planted two young Azaleas. They will get big and fill this space with beautiful dark pink blooms all summer long. Then I laid down a couple of inches of mulch. I turned a weed infested space into a clean, easy to maintain space that will add color to my yard and my life. All in about two to three hours.

Later I got this really funny Zombie Arm Lantern to add some character and spice!!

I would put that towards a new rug (probably the Safavieh Soho Light Grey/Ivory Rug) for the living room. It is in desperate need of a makeover!

  2. says

So much stuff to choose from. I might get a slide, trampoline, or sandbox for the kids. Or I could use a garden weasel or other gardening tools.

  3. Nancy Downen Hobock says

If I had $100 to spend at Wayfair, I would get a gerden weasle long handled garden tool and definately, the Westinghouse solar butterfly Yard Stick. A Ware mfg. Chicken feeder and a Millside Industries Top Fill Poultry Fountain would not hurt my feelings at all!! Thanks for the chance to win. ~ Nancy

  4. Debbie Welchert says

I would get the 3-Piece Bamboo Cutting Board Set and lots of kitchen gadgets.

I would love the STC Rain Barrel and the Educational insights! The rain barrel would help me save on my water bill while gardening and the Educational insights would show help Jahmier learn what mommy does to help our planet!

There are so many things to choose from but I would probably use it toward patio furniture or I might use it toward baby items such as nursing cover (would love to try the Slurp and Burp).
