Barbara’s Hand Made Gourmet Butter Cookies {Review}

Thanks to Barbara’s Hand Made Gourmet Butter Cookies and Cookie Pies for a complimentary 1 lb. tin of gourmet butter cookies for review purposes. These are my own honest opinions.

I’m not much of a baker. To be honest, anything that I bake comes from a mix or pre-made dough, and that’s when I’m in a baking mood! Otherwise, cakes, cookies, etc., come from the bakery aisle at the supermarket. So when I had the opportunity to review Barbara’s Hand Made Gourmet Butter Cookies,  I jumped at the chance!

Unlike the cookies from MY kitchen, Barbara’s Gourmet Butter Cookies are hand made from a dough recipe that has been handed down through three generations. They are hand made, hand pressed, and hand decorated by artisan bakers with quality ingredients, then packaged and shipped.

Although my tin of Barbara’s delicious Hand Made Butter Cookies had already been half eaten by the time I remembered to take photos, I wanted to show you what the cookies look like. I got Joey’s Joy Rainbow Sprinkle cookies, which are a cookie sandwich with raspberry filling, then dipped in chocolate and rainbow sprinkles. Here is a photo of this cookie from their website:

I promise, it is as delicious as it looks, and there are so many more varieties to choose from! Gift wrapping is also available, which makes these cookies a great gift idea!

Barbara’s also offers Home Made Cookie Pies, which I will review closer to the holidays, so stay tuned!

    These cookies look absolutely amazing. I was never really a fan of butter cookies until a few years ago. I love them now. I’ve never tried making them but I might or maybe I’ll just buy some of these!

    I love the idea of sending fresh “home made style” cookies as a gift. I love to bake but living in the Midwest in the summer makes baking more of a winter past time.

    Wow – these are really different and would make an ideal hostess gift or gift to send in the mail. Very festive. Butter cookies are never a waste! And sometimes it is a treat to buy something rather than make every single thing for the holidays (or any time) from scratch.
